I am a mathematician studying algebraic geometry, particularly:

  • The minimal model program and Zariski decompositions
  • Classical algebraic geometry
  • (Pseudo)automorphisms of higher-dimensional varieties

I'm a postdoc at UIC, where you can find me in SEO 411. Previously, I graduated from MIT in 2014 and then spent a year at the IAS.

For a not-too-technical introduction to the geometry I'm interested in, check out the summary. Some of the phenomena I study first appear for surfaces moving in three dimensions — this is a useful testing ground for understanding what can happen in more general spaces.
